چکیده

We investigated the influence of soil properties on availability or otherwise micronutrients in agricultural soils impacted by inorganic and organic manures South-South Area Nigeria. The levels pH, matter (OM), cation exchange capacity (CEC), copper (Cu), iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), zinc (Zn) understudy were examined. measured OM, CEC, Cu, Fe, Mn Zn revealed: 6.04±0.49, 17.68±4.78 %, 7.97±0.81 Cmolkg-1, 5.27±0.82 mgkg-1, 232.49±16.01 109.30±9.85 8.40±1.15 for Mn, Zn, respectively. values within acceptable limits set national international standards.
study revealed variable relationships between studied at p < 0.05. Soil pH exhibited a strong negative association with all except Zn. However, positive correlation (p< 0.10) was recorded OM showed significant weak non-significant Cu 0.10. CEC fair Fe Mn. principal component analysis (PCA) identified combination anthropogenic natural impact agrochemicals applied as major factors influencing determined soils. concluded that have soil.

Impact of nitrogen fertilization on soil–Atmosphere greenhouse gas exchanges in eucalypt plantations with different soil characteristics in southern China

Nitrogen (N) fertilization is necessary to sustain productivity in eucalypt plantations, but it can increase the risk of greenhouse gas emissions. However, the response of soil greenhouse gas emissions to N fertilization might be influenced by soil characteristics, which is of great significance for accurately assessing greenhouse gas budgets and scientific fertilization in plantations. We cond...

Dissimilatory Fe(III) reduction characteristics of paddy soil extract cultures treated with glucose or fatty acids.

Dissimilatory Fe(III) reduction is a universal process with irreplaceable biological and environmental importance in anoxic environments. Our knowledge about Fe(III) reduction predominantly comes from pure cultures of dissimilatory Fe(III) reducing bacteria (DFRB). The objective of this study was to compare the effects of glucose and a selection of short organic acids (citrate, succinate, pyruv...

Macronutrient and Micronutrients Status in Relation to Soil Characteristics in South- East Coast Plain-riverine Soils of India

Hundred surface soil samples representing eighteen villages of the recently tsunami affected areas of Sirkali taluk of Tamilnadu in India were analyzed for the distribution of basic soil parameters viz., pH, EC, OC and OM and macronutrients viz., N, P, K by using standard methods. The available micronutrients (DTPA extractable) viz., Fe, Mn, Cu and Zn were investigated by using Atomic Absorptio...

Developing models to predict soil bulk density in southern Wisconsin using soil chemical properties

There is an emerging need to estimate and verify soil carbon credits attributed to conservation tillage and prairie restoration in the Midwestern U.S. for the developing global carbon market. However, current soil sampling strategies may need to be augmented by empirical modeling to minimize costs while covering larger regions. Models were constructed relating soil bulk density (BD) to soil org...
